Cacharel is a Ready to Wear brand founded in 1958 by Jean Bousquet. The House remains close to its initial and successful fashion codes by offering some creative yet accessible collections for Women, Men and Children.
1963 sees the brand rewarded with its first true success when the iconic crepe blouse finds itself photographed by Peter Knapp on the cover of french Elle magazine. The blouse will instantly be named "the Cacharel".
Fashion designers such as Emmanuelle Khan and then Corinne Sarrut are soon hired to design the collections. In 1968, Sarah Moon, a young photographer unknown back then, meets Jean Bousquet and signs the beginning of a happy and long collaboration. Robert Delpire, publicist, soon joins the team and they all work together to create Cacharel's romantic universe which will remain immortalized through poetical, dreamy and enchanting pictures.
In the late 60's, the first Liberty blouses start to blossom. Cacharel is now a booming brand, a fashion reference, and the Liberty wave explodes in the 70's.
Numerous designers will participate writing Cacharel's history : Coco Zoe, Agnes B, Azzedine Alaia, Corinne Cobson, Lolita Lempicka, Junko Shimada, the Clements Ribeiro, the Eley Kishimoto, Cedric Charlier and since June 2011, Ling Liu and Dawei Sun.
Cacharel is also really famous for its fragrances: Anais Anais is the first one to be created in 1978. It's the first luxury fragrance created for young girls and it represents an olfactory prowess designing a whole new sensory world. The success is immediate.
In 1981, Cacharel pour l'Homme will follow, then Loulou in 1987, which is homage to Louise Brooks. Once again, the fragrance meets success and a whole generation will identify to the famous slogan "Loulou, it's me". With Eden in 1994, Cacharel stages a luxuriant garden, filled with a sensual atmosphere. Then in 1998, Noa offers the vision of a peaceful, serene and harmonious world.
Cacharel is a brand that speaks to women, which is close to them in their everyday life and accompanies them in the discovery of their different facets and emotions. With Anais Anais' tenderness, Loulou's seduction, Eden's sensuality or No's fullness, it still missed the passionate, absolute love represented by Amor Amor, created in 2003. Catch Me is the last seductive essence launched in 2012.
